One of our key focus areas is health and nutrition. We strive to improve the well-being and quality of life of communities through comprehensive health and nutrition interventions. Mrida implements a range of programs focused on maternal and child health, nutrition education, and access to healthcare services. By employing community-based outreach, awareness campaigns, and capacity-building workshops, we empower individuals and families to make informed choices about their health and nutrition practices.
Project Peheli Udaan, launched by Vedanta Limited’s Aluminium Business, helps girls accept menstruation as a normal bodily function and learn proper self-care during their menstrual period. The program also aims to dispel old taboos and provide girls with a thorough and comprehensive understanding of menstruation.
Mrida Foundation, a Self-Help Group (SHG) Federation we promote, is targeting 5,000 school students to educate them about menstrual hygiene with the esteemed support of Vedanta Limited, Lanjigarh.
By addressing the root causes of poor health and malnutrition, the organization contributes to sustainable development outcomes, including reduced mortality rates, improved maternal and child health indicators, and enhanced overall well-being in communities.
